As Cassia put it, we had a four day weekend- well three out of the four of us anyways. Parent teacher interviews at her school were on Wednesday evening, Thursday and Friday. We were the first interview on Wednesday evening so I got 4 full days with my girls. We had simple summer fun: lots of park time, a playdate, walks, picnics and treats.
We have a park a five minute walk away from our house so we head there about 4-5 times for the week if it's nice out.
This was us on Thursday.
On Friday, we had a playdate with some friends. Here Cass is teaching my friend's kid to horse around with sand--- a very messy adventure!
D and I went out on Friday. He is the new president of the medical academy for our region so we went to a dinner and dance for that association. Since we're new to the group, I wasn't my usual paparazzi self taking lots of shots and selfies.
On Saturday, D and Cass went to soccer and then our little family spent the day together running errands, going to a bigger park, baking brownies and then taking the kids out to dinner.
Where else but.....
Cass loves Target as much as I do.
I really don't know what my people are doing here but this is the story of my life- I instruct, they ignore.

 D and I also went out on Saturday night for a friend's birthday.  On Sunday, we headed to Cassia's school picnic. There was so much to do but the rain started to we just got to paint faces and eat and then head home. |
We had planned to BBQ that night but truth be told, we were glad for the rain as we were tired so we just chilled, watched movies and Cass did a 'show' for me.
