My favourites in 2015

It seems like I was writing about 2014 just the other day. 2015 was a fun one filled with special moments and memories that we will treasure forever! Here are just a few of our favourites (and not so favourite if I'm being totally honest) moments this year.

We started 2015 in Trinidad where we soaked up the sun, sea and sand before heading back to the coldest.winter.ever.

We also celebrated my birthday with my parents and a stomach bug this year :-(

I lost a very special person in February suddenly and sadly but I'm so sure she is very happy where she is. We also potty trained in February… fun times….

In March we went to Deerhurst where I almost broke my behind.

But got up in time to become a Canadian citizen.

In April, this cutie turned six and we celebrated with Cassia's Carnival

Celebrating with a champagne brunch in May for Mother's Day and D's birthday!

My sweet girl graduated kindergarten at her Montessori in June.

And us girls headed to NYC for a week to kick off summer!

We came back to Canada in July to spend it with my brother and his family and help them settle in for the year here. It has been such a blessing and a joy having my family so close to us… well they live an hour away but we see each other almost every weekend and all holidays! And the cousins have become best friends, siblings and spouses (don't ask)

We also celebrated A's Sweet Sunshine Birthday

And spent loads of time in Jenn's pool

In August, we did a double Disney. First the World

Then the Dream (a Disney Cruise). One of my best vacations ever.

In September, it all began again… but this time with a first grader in a whole new 'big' school. Skating, gymnastics (x2), Kindermusik (x2), swimming and violin started again too.

In October, my other brother visited with his family for two weeks and we had lots of folks over for Thanksgiving! We also celebrated Halloween with Batgirl and a Bumblebee.

November was one to remember.  The very first day of the month we saw and fell in love with a house. We bought that house and then staged and sold ours on the very first showing.

Our new home (lifted off a website)

 And our current/old home

Sadly, in November I also lost my uncle after he suffered for a very long time from brain cancer. Another beautiful soul gone too soon.

And then December, we had a very Merry Christmas with my parents, brother, sister in law and nephew spending lots of the holiday with us.

What a year! So much to be thankful for. What I'm most grateful for though are the people. My family, my friends, their health and happiness are most important to me and I pray that 2016 is a wonderful one for us all!

2016, here we come!!!!!

Linking up with AndreaErika and Narci for Favourites for 2015!

Christmas 2015

And just like that our Christmas is done….. busy and lazy days all at the same time…. Here's a look at all the food, festivity and fun we had in the past few days…..

On Christmas Eve Eve, we headed to Toronto for a little Disney on Ice and dinner with some friends.

We did lots of this as well….

Our mostly kid decorated ginger bread house looks like Santa bled on it.

On Christmas Eve, we headed to our aunt's place but not before some snuggles!!

The kiddie corner is expanding!

My Parents came from NYC to join us as well….

Things ran late so we didn't stay for carolling as we needed to get everything ready for Santa.

And then Christmas morning came along….

Santa put his gifts out front but C didn't see her name on them so there were many, many tears….

But then she got over them when she saw her Cling Creator and Spy Kit ( a last minute purchase creation from the big guy).

Take two on a phone.

Eggnog candy on a spoon anyone?

Santa was good to me too even though it's not pictured! I got a Fitbit Charge HR (that I hinted I wanted), a pizza stone (that I hinted I wanted), a fancy cuff (that I hinted I wanted), a sunscreen moisturizer (that I ….. well you get the idea!

Aren't stocking stuffers the best! (And if you add it all up, the most expensive)

Breakfast was followed by a visit to the new house

and then snacks while we waited for dinner and my brother and his family to join us. All the kids together were SO much fun!

The next day was very lazy and filled with toys and play until we headed over to our friend's house for dinner and a little show. You can't really see it here  but the older ones were dancing and the younger ones were busting out moves and stealing the show….

Yeah Christmas spirit all throughout!

And then on Sunday we had some family over to spend the evening…

Hope yours was Merry and Bright too!!
