it's my girls' world

It's been almost a month since we moved in but here are just a few shots of our FAVOURITE  (and only) new home. I lifted it off a real estate site awhile back so this isn't our furniture and though we adore our new home, we've done quite a bit since then.

This week on Show & Tell Tuesday with Andrea, it's all about Pinterest! I'm off and on with Pinterest. I'll go through a phase where I don't  use it for weeks at a time and then I'll go pin any and everything . Especially big things are coming up--- like moving or the birth of a child or Disney--- you know, big things!!! And there was that time I became obsessed with my slow cooker and the other time when I got really, really, really into smoothies... again big things ;-s

Here are a few of my faves through the years...

This fruit salad is amazing--- and pretty healthy for when you want something sweet but you're watching those calories. I've made it a few times!

I keep meaning to try this zucchini lasagna! 

Such great household tips. I would give this tip to a new mom who needs to keep holding the baby in the bath with one hand. 

 

And I totally splurged on coffee filters because of these tips.

This weekend could not come fast enough. Between all the stuff with the new house, flying solo with the girls for  more time than usual and trying to get contractors to cooperate, I'm so looking forward to a long weekend! And maybe getting spoilt on Valentine's Day--- hint, hint, D ;-)

1- It is FREEZING cold and going to be even colder this weekend but just look at how beautiful it was!

2- Speaking of cold, one of my least favourite parts of the day is hauling my three year old into the car after she just woke up from nap, walking quite a way and then waiting in the cold for C to come outside. However, this picture from this week cracks me up. Poor thing was so cold, she was trying to cover her face.

3- It's Valentine prep time around here and here are  our cheap and cheerful Valentines for this year! 

Both sets of teachers got $5 starbucks drink cards for a warm beverage of choice.

4- House update: still waiting on our back-splash to be installed and the walls to be painted. I think when that's done, things will seem a little bit more complete. It's weird just having unpainted drywall in the kitchen.
