Hello December!

I'm back from my quickie trip to NYC! My brothers and I had a mini reunion to cheer our sick mama up. The laughs were lots, the eats were awesome and Thanksgiving was terrific! However, I have absolutely no pics to show for it as….. wait for it… I left my phone in NYC in my dad's car en route to the airport! Yep folks, I'm that person! I blush incessantly even typing this. It is being Fedexed tomorrow to me…. In the meantime, I shall not check my email every 30 minutes, not check my steps every hour and go into radio silence with text messages--- my friends might think I'm mad at them and not just shamefully absent-minded.

It's wonderful to be home with my crew though who thanks to mom bribery packages care packages I left them ate candy, did Christmas crafts and listened to carols all weekend. They're cuter than I am so I did take a few pics of them when I returned and those I shall share.

Forts are fun!

Our neighbour came for a playdate

Hard at work

I have a strong suspicion that D did most of the crafting himself.

I don't know if A was a very willing participant in this!

Scruffy and in pjs (maybe all weekend)… but so, so happy.

So yes, I'm thankful for an awesome November. Thankful for two Thanksgivings (one US and one Canadian), a teeny bit of Black Friday shopping, thankful that my crew fared well and most of all that my mom is getting better daily!

Happy December everyone! Good Tidings!

  4. Sounds like a great weekend for everyone :) It's so easy to misplace those pesky little phones! I'm always forgetting mine at home.

  5. Forts and Christmas carols are the best! Sometimes a little extra candy is just what they need :)

  6. Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving, and little trip to nyc. Ugh, leaving your phone behind is the worst but it might be nice to disconnect for a little (or not). PS forts are great!
