And no…. Mo-vember is finished. My sweet bloggy friend Kelly from Happily Ever Mock has nominated me to answer a few questions. Thanks Kelly!
- Mommy- My favourite :-). I will be sad when that changes to Mom.
- Sarits- D usually calls me that-- and a few other friends.
- S- I usually sign my emails 'S-' so I've found a couple of my friends calling me/texting me saying 'S'
- Sweetie- my grandma still calls me that. She has little nick names for each of her grandkids. She also calls me Queen Victoria- I dunno, maybe I was high fallutin' as a kid?!
Four jobs that I have had:
A total mishmash but here you go.
- My last job in the corporate world was as a Brand Manager for Energizer-- the battery and bunny people.
- I was a cashier and a sales clerk at a book store in Trinidad. So much fun but such hard work.
- My first job after my undergrad was as a Management Trainee and then Trade Marketing Executive at Witco. I have so many fond memories of this stage in my life.
- I worked as a Front Desk person/Office personnel for Toyota while in university. Another fun gig.
Four movies I have watched more than once:
Only 4?! I'll focus on holiday movies.
- The Holiday---- love these actors and the modern day feel of this movie but the story line as well.
- Love Actually- one of my all time faves--- love the story line with the Prime Minister most
- The Family Stone- a different one but very well acted and not totally traditional
- The Sound of Music--- growing up, we watched this every holiday season and now that we have our own family, I bought the DVD for D one Christmas and we've begun to do the same
Four places I have lived:
- London, Canada for 2 years when I was doing my MBA-- people used to get so confused and thought I was in London, England.
- Palmiste, Trinidad from 11 onwards.
- St Augustine, Trinidad (from 18-22 roughly)during university and when I started working.
- Ontario- now!
Four places I have been:
- Italy still remains the best vacation we've ever taken!
- Dnipropetrovk, Ukraine- (try saying it, I dare ya')I taught there for a month during my MBA.
- Ekaterinburg, Russia-- unofficially known as Siberia. Also taught there. Two very cultural experiences.
- Malaysia (last year)- You can read about our adventures here.
Four places I would rather be right now:
- Italy (obv)
- Greece
- Barcelona, Spain
- Turks and Caicos- The Beaches Resort to be exact. It would be our third time. We love that place.
Four things I won't eat:
- Beef
- Corn Syrup-well I really, really try to avoid it.
- Bologna
- Weird stuff like rabbit, alligator, frog legs etc.
- Is chocolate a food?
- Thai food
- Mushroom Risotto
- King Crab Legs
- How To Get Away With Murder
- Dancing with the Stars
- Parenthood
- The Good Wife
Four things that I am looking forward to this year:
- A close family member is moving up to Canada for a bit hopefully- so, so excited.
- Cassia's birthday! She's so excited about it, it's infectious!
- March Break plans.
- A close friend is having a baby!!! Exciting again!
Four things I am always saying:
- "no, no, no"- I think I say that as I don't know where else A gets it from.
- "I want a kiss"- (not to random people, to my girls)
- "I'm soooo tired!"
- "Cass, you need to practice your violin." - Insert 'do your reading, writing, math' here.
Four (awesome) people I ask to join along in the Q&A's
Salma at The Write Balance
Nina at The Joni Journey
Kaitlin at Little Goodies
Kristy at Rejoice and Repeat
And in case you wanted to see the cutest little leopard evah'
Love this!
ReplyDeleteI love reading these types of surveys! They remind me of the ones people used to fill out on aol and MySpace back in the day. P.S.: I love The FAmily Stone too!
ReplyDeleteLove this! You have traveled to so many places! And to have taught at some of those places...Russia, wow! I don't eat beef, and I would also consider chocolate a food group. So much fun :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post. You have lived and been to some amazing places! Would definitely rather be at any of the places you listed.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun idea!!!! Would LOVE to go to Turks and Caicos ... especially right about now when it's FREEZING here! :)
ReplyDeleteYour list of places you have lived and visited has me green with envy. VERY cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks for nominating me!
ReplyDeleteSo many great Q/A's here. I love finding out random facts bout my favorite bloggers.
I LOVE Love Actually and the Holiday, they're both on my must-watch list this month. And I worked for a bookstore too during college. One of the most fun jobs ever, with the best co-workers ever. Too bad it didn't pay much, or I'd have stayed forever. But maybe I should save this all for my Q/A ;)
