Our little long weekend

On Thursday and Friday, my girls were off from school for Parent Teacher interviews -my most wonderful time of year, I love to read five pages of report about my five year old.  So we had lots of mommy daughter time with just a bit of fun squeezed in…

On Thursday, we visited our friends Dani, Raven and sweet little Wren on Thursday for some lunch and little girl time. Both my girls wanted to hold the baby. I'm taking a picture with one hand here and the other ready to spring into action should they drop the baby. #classactionlawsuit

My friend Jenn and I took our girls to see a local production of The Little Mermaid, incidentally my favourite princess growing up.-- well most of our girls. A stayed home as she would have wanted to climb the stage

We had dinner first and E decided to bust out into song, in the middle of the restaurant, using a spoon as a microphone! It was seriously cuteness personified.

.

We had a lazy day on Friday. Apart from the gym, we didn't leave the house.

Sister snuggle time.

I tried braiding A's hair. As you can see, a wiggly toddler and fine short hair does not a good braid make.

C's hair on the other hand-- it was my first time doing a dutch braid and I love how it looks.

We also did our gingerbread house but that's another post for another time:-)

On Saturday, we took the kids to Candyland with Jenn and her kids for lots of free family fun. We jammed to live entertainment, painted ice blocks, met up with Santa and had a little too much sugar.

THis candy lady had lollipops on her skirt.

Our first Santa pic of the season.

We tried to get all four kids to take a pic. This happened!

We then headed to Mississauga for a little get together with our cousins Am and Mo. Fun time with lots of eats, treats and drinks.

I am in love with their beautiful tree with turquoise decorations.

Yep, shake it off- the song of choice for the under five crowd.

A lazy family day on Sunday with some baking, playing and snuggles.

What a wonderful weekend spending so much time with these congested (runny noses are abundant) little  ladies!

Happy Monday, friends.

  7. I've always been jealous of people who know how to braid. If I ever have daughters I definitely will need somebody to teach me!! Those braids are beautiful!

  8. Way to go with that dutch braid! If I have a daughter I think she's gonna be stuck with pony tails.
