Friday Fun!

A true favourites post this week.  Here's what's been rocking our boat recently.

1- Look what I got? I get tired of bringing out my stand mixer for little projects like muffins/bread and so many people recommended it. Between a house warming gift card and a sale, I ended up getting this beauty for just over $11. #winning. Also, my stand mixer (a cheapo I got when we first got married almost ten years ago) is on its last legs and as a housewarming gift, my mom wants to buy us a Kitchenaid stand mixer. The US Costco has the Classic at a crazy cheap price of $199. However, the Artisan seems to be the one that's the most popular. This question is for my baking friends- is there a huge difference between the Classic and the Artisan for an occasional baker like myself?

2-  These reusable sticker books are AMAZING! My friend Jenn first introduced us to them as a great restaurant toy and my kids went a little crazy over them. This is the second set I bought for each girl and they play with them for hours. They don't exactly break the bank either :-)

3- Our cable/internet providers have been switched and yesterday they did the final bit of networking so now I can access my PVR from our bedroom. I limited my nighttime TV watching  as the den is so close to the girls' room. #cantstopmenow

4- All the stores have their summer stuff slowly coming out. Never mind that it's supposed to snow this weekend. Never mind that at all?

5- Weekend hair cut and highlights coming up!  It's been a while since I've done both together--- maybe last year summer time or so!

And just in case you come here for the kids' cuteness (mom, aunts etc), here's one for you!

Then C snapped a no makeup, frizzy hair pic of me!

  4. My mom has the classic mixer and has had it for 30+ years. She uses it for everything. I have an artisan and love it but the price tag is higher. It has just a bit more umph. I think you'd be fine with a classic model.

  10. I have the KitchenAid Artisan and love it! I would highly recommend it. I also like having the hand mixer for smaller jobs, though. They definitely come in handy!

  13. I've been wanting to buy a new hand mixer as well. I hate pulling out my big mixer for just a simple thing. Have a great weekend! :)

  14. Love your new mixer! I have the classic Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer which is perfect for most of my baking needs, but sometimes you just need the hand mixer for a smaller job. I probably use my Kitchen Aid mixer a few times a month, except around the holidays when it's used constantly :)
