Finally Friday

This week feels like it's bit me in the behind. Seriously. Not quite a punch in the face but more of a bite.  It's one of those kid forgot her jacket for school , mom forgot to bring the money for the field-trip, mom didn't realise she had snack until the day before and had to race to the grocery even though she already went the night before, gymnastics outfit was dirty, laundry from 14 people over the weekend never ending kind of days--- and that was just Wednesday. First world problems, I know. And we're grateful for a full life…. but also so very, very grateful for the weekend!!!!

Hair:

I went for another short trim yesterday! I did one over the summer and loved it so did a teeny bit shorter. I know in the winter months when my nape is freezy (that's what A calls cold), I may not be as happy but that's what scarves and hoods are for, no?

Fedora Love

As we're talking heads. True story…. I saw this lady at Costco all turned out in her scarf, booties and fedora and wanted the look  instantly. I mean I do the scarf and booties but the hat took it to a whole new level. Later that night, I realised that D had a hat just like that! Good thing I have a big enough head to fit into a man's hat. #winning. Similar one found here for ridiculously cheap prices.Konmari
I've been hearing really wonderful things Marie Kondo's book so I've ordered and started reading it. Truth be told though, I'm a little scared as in the intro she's been talking about not doing things a bit at a time which I totally do if I have a spare hour when the kids are napping etc. I can't devote eight hours?! And about major purging… but I like variety… so let's see!

Anyone try Kondmari-ing yet?

Loving these casual fall looks that take stuff in my closet already!

Pumpkin Please

I've not done any pumpkin baking yet. Need to try some new recipes (as per fall bucket list which we're really yet to touch). These pumpkin chocolate chip muffins look amazing! And with more than 6000 rave reviews, I'm liking this pumpkin loaf is also calling my name. And these pumpkin poppers are always a hit!

And because I think they're cute… most of the time anyways!

Our grocery gives free cookies to kids and mine were very happy-- and apparently very hungry!
(And yeah, that was Wednesday when C had to wear my jacket)

Have a wonderful weekend! It's going to be a cold one here.

  1. Love your hair. I've that book. I've tried applying it but haven't had time to really purge. I did apply the folding techniques to use when I packed for our trip. It worked really well.

  8. I HATE those days, so sorry lady. The hair is super cute and Pumpkin muffies are always a hit at our house. Just search them on Pinterest and a Panera copycat recipe should pop up!

  9. I always thought life was less chaotic once the kids are in school, but this post makes me rethink that. Just a different kind of chaos, apparently ;) Either way, I feel ya! We've had quite a few of those days lately too. Love the hair and the outfit inspiration.
