Friday Five

Oh weekends, you can't come fast enough. It's March break next week so we're on a bit of a break. We are keeping it local with a couple of little day trips planned and one night out to Deerhurst. Fun  times in these parts

1- Skin Medica is my jam

On the advice of a medical skin consultant, I've been using a new line of clinical skin products just for a little more 'brightening'… says this girl in her thirties.  I've got to say, it's a bit pricy but I love it. My skin is much  brighter, my complexion more even and I'm finding the need for makeup to be less. I bought the first batch from the skin consultant's office but will get the rest for a fraction of the cost from Amazon. This Vitamin C& E Serum is amazing as is this AHA cream and this eye cream. Full post coming up!

2- Being a girl mom

I guest posted yesterday at Our Pretty Little Girls on Being a Girl Mom. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do.

3- Yummy Spaghetti Squash

I tried it for the first time yesterday and I am sold.  My favourite meal this week by far!! And it was totally vegetarian but so filling! Can't wait to begin experimenting with other recipes. Does anyone have any?

Looks appetizing, no?!

4- Violin Love

On Wednesday, C took her violin to show and share at school as well as to her Kindermusik class. She did a little performance for both classes. Let me tell you, this kid has nerves of steel. She played better than she usually does at home for me. Definitely my favourite moment this week, watching her bravely playing for everyone. My eyes might or might not have filled up. She has already told me that when she grows up she shall be on the stage! We'll see, little one

5- Disney done!

So we've decided! Our little vacation this summer will be Magic Kingdom for 2 days followed by a four day cruise. Disney overload here we come!! Meal Plan or not? Balcony or Porthole. These are serious decisions, my friends? #firstworldproblems #pleasedontstopreadingtheblog. So very excited and truth be told a little scared as well.

And in case, you need a dose of cuteness

Linking up with everyone!

  3. What a brave girl C is! I've always had stage fright, so I can't imagine willingly putting on a concert for anyone. Way to go C!

Disney will be so fun. Can't wait to hear how the cruise goes, we've been thinking about doing one of those.

  4. Your vacation sounds wonderful! I love cruises! We're doing Disney this fall with my daughter (minus the cruise). As far as cruise ship cabins go, I've done inside, porthole, and balcony. Balcony was by far my favorite (although the most expensive). You probably won't be spending much time in your room anyway, but it was nice for us to wake up and enjoy breakfast on our balcony. Have fun!!!

  7. I love spaghetti squash! You can actually split in half...take out the seeds and place face down in a dish with a little water and cook in the micro if you are ever short time. I actually cook it that way in the oven too. Love, love spaghetti squash.
