The Holidays 2018

I feel like I might be posting all about the holidays  just a teeeny bit late but hey, how could I totally not post anything! Here we go!

We went caroling in our neighbourhood for the first time! We went to a few different houses and had a wonderful time. We definitely want to make it an annual tradition and I think that we have some great singers in the group!

First off, a little practice!

The day after(and the last day of school, yayyyyy) , another neighbour invited us over for drinks and bites so off we went... until A threw up all over my back and the floor... and then we came home.

D and I made this spinach Christmas tree. It was so good!!

A pretty low key day on Saturday with just a kids'  party and C's first belt presentation. A was fine by then but very tired.

On Sunday, we had a few of our favourite people over where we snacked, played games and had an awesome dinner after!

My lovely friend! We could spend days  together and not run out of things to talk about.

Christmas Eve-- by our aunt's place. First things first, spiked egg nog. Side note, my nine year old didn't have it spiked.

Some caroling again. Is there anything better than carolling on Christmas Eve?! Except maybe family.... and food!

This is our 17th Christmas together XOXO

I'm not sure what I was doing with her hair in this shot.

And here we are back home when the elves are hard at work!

It was at this moment that we all began to feel a bit ill. D and I with a general feeling of malaise and not feeling right in the stomach, LOL. And C threw up Christmas morning at 3 am.
It didn't stop them from tearing into Christmas presents like it was their job though!

But it did stop D and I! We slowly opened ours and just chilled watching the light dusting of snow and listening to Christmas music.  We did enjoy these kiddos and their presents had some croissants and a couple glorious naps and watched Christmas movies before having a very, very light Christmas dinner.

Then on Boxing Day, we went to our friends' house with all their family and lots of goodness and cheer!!

And that's a wrap. Still to come, NYE and Chicago and they we hopefully will be all caught up!!!

  4. Sounds like you kept busy celebrating and being festive with family and friends. That fruit/cheese/meat tray looks amazing! Spiked eggnog is always a must and it looks like the girls got spoiled by Santa!
