Happy Valentines' Day, lovelies! Let's hope we all get a little spoilt today. Mine has already started :-)
On this Show & Tell Tuesday with Andrea, we're talking our loves. Here are mine...
D
My person since almost fourteen years ago. We started dating in our little island of Trinidad & Tobago for about 6 months. Then it was some long distance love for a little more than a year when he migrated back to Canada. I moved up here to go to do my MBA and we did some more long distance but this time only a couple hours. Fit in a graduation, another move, an engagement, quite a bit of travel and in 2006 we got married.
D is so unassuming and at first glance, he might appear to be quiet and serious. But boy is he a funny one! He is so humble, so smart and has such a pure heart. I've always said that the person you marry is the person who you choose to become your family-- and I'm so glad we chose each other. I simply cannot imagine a life with anyone else.
C
My almost eight year old is my war buddy. Yeah, she made me a momma but in a weird way, I feel like we went through the learning and growing in this parenthood thing together.... all those early sleepless nights, our little outings and so much tiny adventures. She is my spirit animal. We are SO alike. She loves reading, crafting, cooking, fashion, learning, party planning, her family and friends. My second grader is so full of life, fun and smarts. Her memory amazes me! She is my picky eater but living in a house with three other gourmands, she's trying her best.
A
A is the teeniest person in the house at four and a half years (the half is very important) and thirty two pounds but she might very well have the biggest personality in the house. She is always chatting away about something or someone! She says the funniest things... like yesterday asking everyone if they had constant foot odour, apparently she saw it on TV and loved the sound of the phrase. She has the most infectious smile... boy, can she be moody though! She cries at the drop of a hat and gets very, very mad. She loves olives, Lego duplo, her friends and her mama.
Other than these loves, I also adore the rest of my family, my girlfriends, black leggings, makeup, Target, appetizers, hygge, fitness, entertaining, chocolate, menu planning and a complicated glass of red wine.... and that about covers it...
Have a wonderful chocolate filled day.
Precious loves, precious family...so perfectly said and Happy Valentine's Day!!

ReplyDeleteYou just have the absolute sweetest family Sarita. Reading your thoughts about your first born really echoes how I feel about mine too. I hope y'all have the best Valentines Day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have! And I love that you included red wine! Hahaha! :)
ReplyDeleteLoved reading a little back story of you and D's relationship and how it all settled in Canada. K and I had some long distance in our relationship too from Trinidad to US so I can kind of relate. D sounds like such a smart and amazing husband/role model for your kids and I'm sure the girls have inherited the brains and beauty from the both of you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have some very special Valentines! I hope you had a wonderful day!
