Before we start Friday Favourites, September 11th is definitely not a favourite day of mine. My heart goes out to the families of those lost in 9/11. I had an aunt who worked in a building next to the World Trade Centre and thankfully, she's okay but the horrendous stories she's told me make very sad but so very thankful for where we are right now and our striving human spirit and strength.
Let's bring some cheer forward, shall we?
1-Summer Loving
I'm loving all the fall posts I'm reading but truth be told, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to summer yet. Besides, technically summer's not over until September 21st so until then, I will not be busting out the fall candles (though I have some stockpiled since last year), or the decorations or my full fall wardrobe…. Blame my island upbringing but summer is my favourite season. Though I've toned down the bright summer wear since Labour Day, I'm still not budging…. and no bucket list from this blog yet hahah! I might be checking out the fall fashions and pinterest fall stuff though.
2- Pre-schooler.
Can you believe this kid started pre-school this week? She's doing three hours daily but this week was orientation so it was just two days. She has her little friend in the class so she is very excited! So excited she had an 'accident' in her very first hour there. Other than that, she had a wonderful day!

3- Broken compact
Loving that my compacts can be so easily fixed with just a touch of rubbing alcohol. Yay Google...
4- Lunches for everyone!
This is my first week of packing lunches for my little one…. ever! I've been seriously spoilt as all her school meals before have been provided. As a very picky eater myself as a kid with a kind of picky kid (and as a big believer of balanced meals as an adult), I'm pleased that my lunches have been a success with the kit being brought home empty--- bar a broccoli stalk or so….

Oh my gosh, I love all the funnies!! I consider September 1st the cut off for fall decorating, but this year it is way too hot. We are still have very much summer weather so I am holding off! Love the updated pictures! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the summer. It is going to be cold soon enough, and then we'll all be complaining about that, so I am embracing the heat (although it has subsided) and the sunshine. Glad your big girl is enjoying school. You should do a post on school lunches, I will need some more inspiration!
