Ottawa-Part Deux

Happy Monday, lovelies. We had a productive weekend of finally getting that pool ready (still too cold to swim), a neighbourhood party, a kids' birthday party, seeing Alladin, lots of running around and some outdoor furniture assembly. Not too many pics to show though-- womp, womp. So instead here are a few more from Ottawa and our second day.

Bright and early, we took a walk along the Ottawa River. Still so high from the recent flooding.

We slowly trekked downtown and took

Then we headed to Parliament Hill where I fell in love with all the majestic neo-Gothic structures.

Apparently, we went at a really good time as they will soon be doing some work on the buildings for an extended period.

Us at the Ottawa sign before we made our way to the Bymark Market and met a high-school friend of mine for a bit.

Getting some sunshine and pizza.

So good catching up with this girl!!

We went shopping at the famous Rideau Centre... two out of the four of us needed new shoes.

The girls and D went back to the hotel for a couple hours after while I took advantage of the Nordstrom's half yearly sale, visited Simon's and hung out with my friend some more.

The beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral. Inside was absolutely breath-taking!

This particular set of  souped up wheels is apparently famous here.

D and the girls came to meet us for Mexican for dinner at El Camino. We had the best tacos- Cauliflower, Tuna tartare and especially the eggplant ones for the win.

After some churros, we walked home again.

Onto Spark Street for another little different walk...

I did almost 23 K steps that day.... Our nation's capital has so much to see and do...

Have the most marvellous Monday, friends!!
