The Ottawa Tulip Festival 2019.

Yay for a wonderful Wednesday! We did a little trip over the long weekend to our nation's capital of Ottawa and oh boy was the Ottawa Tulip Festival the highlight of it all for me. Here a just a 'few' pictures from Commissioner's Park where we saw most of the tulips.

The tulip festival started as a post war collaboration between the Netherlands and Cana and every year the Netherlands gift Canada about 20,000 bulbs. SO many different hues and varietals. Because of the colder weather,  many of the regular tulips weren't in bloom during the Festival. Mostly, the early bloomers remained opened longer than usual and the rest slowly were blossoming.

It was a cold day but we bundled up and made the best of it.

I love tulips and looking back on my pictures and curating them brought me such joy.

A hot, beautiful mess.

Standing high in the crowd.

We stopped for some fancy lollipops for the kiddos!

So many beautiful little booths and sights to pore over.

And a taco 'salad' for lunch

Such natural beauty!

Linking up with Stefanie for Welcome Wednesday.
