A little NYC

Well hello there. I've been scarce I know! The girls are keeping me so busy and I've had a family funeral that I needed to head out of town for. My great aunt who was the oldest member of my mom's family passed at 86. God bless her generous soul and strength and support for all the living members of the family.

But this blog focuses on happy and our couple days in NYC with the my brother and his family definitely were some of the highlights of my summer so here we go!

All set and ready to go... we took the LIRR into the city. Such an easy ride into Penn Station.

Lots of walking!

There are so many sights to behold while walking through the city!!

I had never been to the Empire State building before this trip!

So beautiful on the inside.

My brother treated us to the VIP passes--- I like feeling like I'm a celebrity-- bypassing all the lines!

The view from the top was soooo pictureseque

It poured after so we grabbed lunch at the Heartland Brewery.... We shared this pretzel--- all seven of us... and still couldn't finish it. Literally larger than a baby's head.

We walked through the city and Time's Square after... and there was rain... and achy feet... we promised them ice cream lol!

 We delivered on the promise.

The next week, we also headed to NYC, this time to see some Lion King--- another generous gift from my sister in law and brother.

A isn't a fan of pizza.... until she tried NYC pizza!!! She's a fan!

A little Time's Square again

We took them to the M&M store for a little treat!

Bags of M&M and we are ready for the Lion King!

I cannot say enough good things about the Lion King. It is definitely the most beautiful Broadway show I've ever seen. The artistry, choreography, music and quality of performance was stunning and definitely the experience of a lifetime!!

We then headed to Ninja New York after for some dinner. The building inside is set up to mimic a ninja village.

The sushi was delicious and the drinks were very strong!

Some of the dishes had a ninja element in its presentation

This was the bathroom which we also loved!!

We then headed out to find some Dylan's candy bar for a little sweet treat.

This milkshake could have fed 10 people and I ordered two--- eeep... we threw away more than half of both.

A little bubble fun and then back to Long Island.

So much fun with the cousins... The city was as fun as I remembered it!!

Happy Monday! Linking up with new mama,  Biana.

I love that you shared your NYC trip---curious what the girls thought of it? Were they overwhelmed? I don't know if I'm brave enough to take my kids.
