Mother's Day 2016 was amazing. I woke up to a sweet seven year old giving me her present, kisses and snuggles (before she exited stage left to watch some TV). Then there was a cup of tea in bed followed by more presents! (and one more on the
way)
Isn't A's printing wonderful for a three year old? She misspelled her name and knew it but went with it anyways.
My girls and their art :-)
beautiful flowers from friends and family.
I did more than an hour of yardwork and then we headed to brunch at our favourite Mother's Day joint. But first we did our annual Mother's Day picture…. before I ate my face off and my makeup got ruined.
And then this girl asked me for a picture with the both of us alone and planted one on me.
Some lemonade! And some herbs. I chose basil and mint!
If this isn't eating your face off, I don't know what is!
The restaurant did face painting also. Another hit with the little ladies.
And then three out of the four of us had a long, glorious nap, I gardened a bit more and we had some apps for dinner.
A lovely day with my awesome family. Thank you, my loves. I appreciate all your efforts.
Happy Monday, everyone!
Aww love the photo of you and your two girls before the brunch! So glad you had a wonderful day! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

What a lovely day and good call taking the photos before eating. I have made that mistake more than once. You ladies look lovely as always.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the best Mother's Day spent with your girls! I love all the pretty artwork they gave you and those pictures with you are precious!
ReplyDeleteP.s. to "perk" those tulips and get them standing upright, try sticking a penny from 1981 or before in the water :)!
Looks like a great weekend. Those flowers are so pretty & the cards are so sweet.
