Here we go, June! The sunshine is out and so are the smiles! Here's a bit of what's happening currently around here:
Travelling
nowhere this month as we wrap up a very hectic school year but next month we have some wonderful plans to visit Greece. To say we are excited is an understatement!

Grilling
Everything! Skewers, sausages, wings, burgers and loads of different veggies. We grill at least a few times a week! My fave has been this grilled squid I posted about and I can't wait to make it again!
Exploring
Sugar free desserts. Trying to cut the sugar and carbs and explore alternative sources of sweet.... like a spoon of peanut butter some days-- #desperatetimes

Planting
All the herbs! This year we have basil, thai basil, rosemary, oregano, thyme, parsley and the tiny cilantro and mint that sprung back up from last year.
Playing
Well my kids are playing soccer and lacrosse and swimming and skating until the end of June! Me on the other hand, I'm trying to play around with blogger to find out why no more comments get sent to my inbox so that I can respond to them directly. Instead, I have to check my blog or go onto blogger to see the comments on my posts....grrrrr... any ideas, friends!?
What summer fun do you have planned for this month?

What is your secret for keeping your herbs alive?! I want my own little herb garden so bad but I’m terrible at keeping plants going. BBQ’ing is my favorite thing about the warmer months.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Greece...eek so EXCITED for you!
ReplyDeleteOk I am so jealous you're headed to Greece, that's going to be amazing! And I'm jealous and proud of you for resisting your sugar cravings. I wish I could do the same!
ReplyDeleteGreece in July - AMAZING!! You guys will love it! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Greece! I hear the blogger comment problem is universal.
ReplyDeleteThe kiddos are SO busy, in awe of all their activities! And YAY for Greece, can't wait to live vicariously through your trip <3

Greece sounds wonderful! I think everyone is having blogger comment problems!
ReplyDeleteGreece?? How wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreece?! That sounds amazing. I can't wait to hear about it. I'm not on blogger anymore, but I have heard it's being frustrating. I can't wait to start grilling food. Yum!

I've never been over the pond but Greece and the Greek Islands are on my wishlist! I can't wait to see your travel adventures. Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteGreece!! Totally on my life list. Hope you have an amazing trip.
ReplyDeleteOh and this lack of Blogger comment emails is making me crazy too! I Googled it, and it seems people are saying that it's an issue Blogger is aware of, and they're working on a fix. We shall see, I guess. In the meantime, I'm having kind of a crazy week, so I guess I'll just not worry about finding time to respond to blog comment emails ;-)
Hooray for Greece! How AMAZING!! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear about it when you return! Oh! I've been meaning to tell you how happy I was to receive your comment and hear that I have a "Keto friend"! My husband and I have been doing keto for a little over a month now. For his big 4-0 birthday I couldn't bear the thought of not serving him his favorite, carrot cake, so I went in search of a keto-friendly substitute and found these keto carrot cake cookies and cream cheese frosting recipes (https://www.ketoconnect.net/carrot-cake-cookie-recipe) They were SO good! I'm actually considering making another batch today. Wish you lived near enough to stop by and try them, friend! Anyway, IF you're a carrot cake fan this keto-friendly/sugar free recipe may be one to check out sometime. ;) I have been so disappointed that blogger stopped sending email notifications! I loved emailing responses, but sadly have decided to go ahead and begin replying right on the post going forward, even though it's unlikely people will return to see the reply. I hope they start sending them again in the future. We'll see!
