S E V E N

Today our baby turns seven. It is a fun ride with this little one that's for sure.

A is smart. She is always asking me questions that I in turn have to turn to google for. School is fun and easy for her... so far! Her teacher has said she has the life skill of doing her work while chatting with her peers and distracting said peers but trying to help them at the same time.

She is scrappy. A keeps us on our toes, that's for sure. She has a quick quip for every question or comment, she oft' wears me out with her sass' and has us in stitches lots. Her comedic timing and her imitating voices crack us up.

She is stylish and sophisticated. I choose her clothes lots of the time but when she does select them, girlfriend knows what she is doing. Her artwork and her creations are always fun to look at. She also has a very sophisticated palate.

She is sensitive. She cries easily (like I used to up to even my twenties LOL) and needs to control her emotions at times. We are working on this. However, she is always sensitive to the needs of others as well. She is kind to elders and younger kids.

She is sincere.  She shares well with her sister (most days) and if anyone is having a tough day, she really tries to help them out! She gives the best hugs and kisses and writes me the most beautiful letters. She even donated her hair to making wigs for kids.

Strawberry picking fun

I'm back!!! Who missed me?! Life has been busy with work and two kiddos at home. We also just came back from 10 days in NYC so lots of pics to download and stories to share.

In the meanwhile, here are a just a 'few' pics of the very end of July when we went strawberry picking. The girls and I usually try to go once a year but this was D's inaugural visit...

We headed to Marcy's Berries, our regular haunt for strawberries.

Strawberry picking was late this year as spring and summer came late...

Vine ripened strawberries are the very sweetest!!

Matching dresses are my jam.

Hard work makes us hungry so a little family lunch out for the win.

And some more posing LOL.

Have a wonderful (hopefully) sunshiny weekend, lovelies!

A little hair donation

Hello lovelies and Happy Canada Day to this sweet country of ours... So happy to call you home, Canada!

Last year, A decided she would donate her hair... I'm not a fan of longer hair for little girls, I'm going to admit... I find they look so cute with little bobs, lobs or shoulder length hair. But obey her wishes we did, and we grew her hair out to donate .

Here are a few pictures of her little adventure...

We took a few before pics... obvi...

Big sister also got a trim.

My hairdresser of almost 9 years, Jef, did C's locks... and she got a hand massage. #extra

And a steamed drink...

There was so much hair!!!

All done and so proud of her look.

So was big sis.

My girls are very pleased with their new 'dos. And so is Mom so she doesn't have to spend all summer braiding hair :-).

Last Day of School!!!

And we are out... for those lazy, crazy, fun summ-summ-summa days! Can you tell we are excited!? Here are just a few of those last days of school photos.

They wanted to dress up in matching outfits for their last day and have all their goodies in tow like the gift cards for teachers and letters. I've been doing this for 5 years now, handwritten from the kiddos  and it almost always brings a tear or two from the teachers they are gifted too. I also always get a little Starbucks gift card for their support teachers for Phys Ed, Music, principal and admin in the office.

Also, en tow snacks for the class party and my old makeup for "makeovers" for my fourth grade class.

And a side by side is mandatory... how these girlies have grown!

My bestie Jenn and I took the girls out to dinner and a show to celebrate year end. A was legit hangry and in fine form. First stop, Graffiti Market with their touch screen tables where you could order from the table and play games on it as well.

It's only June but this girl's tan is maybe 4 shades darker already!

One of C's swim friends was in the cast of Annie at a local theatre so we all went to see her.

And that's it for last day of school fun! My girls have both had wonderful years of growth and goodness in this school year. Now they get to enjoy some summer vacay fun!!!

Happy last day of June, loves!
