Not just a mom- back to school freedom

Happy Monday, friends!!  On the Not Just a Mom linkup that I cohost with AdrienneLaurenAshley and Dara, we are talking about back to school freedom. Who would have thought when we first started this link-up and thought of this prompt, COVID would have changed schooling so much.

Now, with everything going on, back to school freedom has taken a whole new meaning. So many parents are debating their back to school choices and so many parents don't even have a choice. In Ontario, the plan is to send the kids back to school come September but parents can also decide to keep them home for distance learning. As it stands right now, we are planning to send our kids to school but I still have to fill out the consent forms. Yes, it comes with freedom but also, some nervousness especially for my little one who had an autoimmune condition last year.

So I guess, there will be some back to school freedom. This however will entail lots and lots of cleaning and organising as even though we are doing that with the kiddos, right now  it's a whole lot of stepping over them, a whole lot of constant dishwashing, meals and snacks. #firstworldproblems.

What about you? Are you as nervous as I am? Will you be getting some "freedom" or will life for you entail more time with the kiddos at home?

Here's a list of prompts for future months

  1. I'm not really nervous but I am curious to see how schools are going to pull this off... just figuring out the bus situation seems to be a real problem here!

  2. At the second week of September, I might have all three kids at school...we'll see.

  3. I know what you mean - freedom that they will be able to go to the actual classroom, but increased thoughts about lunches, masks, sanitizer, watching for symptoms (not that we don't do that now but I feel like it will be a greater concern now as the school could deem something a symptom and send them home), etc.
