Weekending

This Weekend we:

+ made homemade chocolate chip shortbread cookies

+ cuddled in our jammies to watch Elf (while A asked 103 questions about it)

+ I sneaked out to the Cambridge Christmas market to buy some homemade goodies, catch some carolling and see Santa

+ went to TO to meet my friend Petal and her family, made pastelles, ate some amazing salmon risotto and listened to parang

+almost took a seventeen month old home with us

+ got babysitting for the kids and went to a very grown up wine and cheese in our new neighbourhood. Our new neighbours are very welcoming!

+started battling a cold (ick)

+ put on our very festive Christmas dresses for the first time--- thanks Grandma!

+went to our friends' country club  for a lovely brunch and some visiting with Santa (more on that in another post)

+had wine, snacks and leftovers for dinner

And just like that Monday came again!

  5. Love how welcoming your new neighbors are. And why have I never tried salmon risotto before? I think that's going on the dinner menu this week.

  7. Sounds like a lovely weekend! I wish I could try one of your pastelles right about now. I actually bought a Puerto Rican version of it over the weekend and it was disgusting unfortunately...lol

  10. Chocolate chip shortbread? Please share :). I can totally see how a kid would have hundreds of questions about the movie Elf, lol. Looks like another great weekend.

  11. Ugh, I was sick this weekend too. Hope you're feeling better! We attempted Elf with Mila - she wasn't impressed at all, haha. She did like the end with Santa and the singing though. :)
